Why Would “Investors Business Daily” Care About “Revolution”?

EMP

by Jake Robinson on August 18, 2012

You would think an investment newspaper wouldn’t care a wit about a fictional TV SciFi series set 15 years in the future.  You’d be wrong.

And, there’s good reason.  A quote from the story:

“Set in a future ‘where every single piece of technology — computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out forever,’ according to the promos, the drama series is fiction, but the threat it depicts, the end of technological society and life as we know it, is a frighteningly real possibility.

Hmmmm, what do they know that most viewers won’t have a clue about?

An EMP event is the biggest reason I became interested in podcasting about this show. Sure, I like a good show like the next guy.  But I have never had the anticipation about a TV show like this one.  Mainly, because I have studied this subject and understand just how real the possibility is…  Congress has looked at the problem but fails to take action that could possibly prevent the worst of the worst if a rogue Scud Missile were launched at the US, say, off the coast of North Carolina and detonated above our atmosphere. Our Government knows and understands the threat but has decided it is a “long shot” compared to all the other challenges we are dealing with as a nation.

Go read why the possibility of an EMP event is so real and you may gain a better appreciation for the  premise of the show.

Tune into the podcast (once it’s launched) where we will bring a different dimension to the show and how authentic the show just may be.

Hey Joan,

“Revolution” is scheduled for it’s next season on March 25th, Monday night same time and channel as last season in your area. It will come on immediately after “he Voice” which will be broadcasting the Season Premiere…

In the meantime, you can go to http://www.revolutionfancast.com/webisode and check out the mini-webisode where a scene between Monroe and Neville discuss the assassination attempt on Monroe by Miles… it gives some back-story about how the rift developed.

Also, it has been learned that we will find out what caused the power to go off in the 13th episode (the third episode of the new season.) We’ll see if it is “believable.”

Thanks for the comment and be looking for a new interview with a best-selling author who wrote “One Second After” – a novel about the power going off and how a small town survives the first year…

Cheers,

Jake
